I received a Masters Degree in Counseling in 2004 from Whitworth College in Spokane, Washington and have been in private practice since that time. I received a Masters Degree in speech-language pathology from Western Michigan University in 1977 with an emphasis on neurology, normal language development, and language disabilities. During my years as a speech language therapist in a neuro-psychological hospital and in the public school system, I developed expertise working with children, adolescents and adults who exhibited language, articulation, and social cognitive disorders. It was during this time I found that I am a good listener with a passion for working with the social-emotional overlay of communication.
